This page is dedicated to all those who have touched our lives in ways that cannot be expressed in words.
Cheryl, Charlene, Belinda and Vicki (Ishan's Current Team at School): Thank you all so much for making Ishan's days at school so much fun. He simply loves going to school.
Linda (Ishan's first Teacher in Georgia): Thank you so much for making Ishan's transition smooth.
Jan (Ishan's PT): Thanks for all your support and enthusiasm. You have gone beyond your job as a physical therapist and you are now more a part of our family than just being a professional. Thank you for being patient, positive and persistent.
Kevin (Psychologist): We have known you only briefly, despite that you stood up for us at our first IEP meeting. Thank you so much. We are so lucky to have met you.
Here is a note I wrote to Rainbows United. Ishan graduated from this program when he turned three.
My son Ishan will be leaving the services of Rainbows, as he will soon turn three. We have been a part of Rainbows since our son was one month old. Our journey so far has had its ups and downs but we have also been fortunate to come across some wonderful people at Rainbows United. All of Ishan’s therapists and his teacher have become a part of our family. Their kind, compassionate, and positive attitude has made a huge difference. When our son was born we were given a very grim picture, but today because of the people at Rainbows we have more hope and aspirations for Ishan. Thank you, to all those who have been a part of our son’s life. You have given us (and our son) a strong foundation from which we are certain he will take off with flying colors.
Here is a note I wrote to all the volunteers and owners of Flint Hills Therapeutic Riding Center:
Dear Suzie, Sharon and all the volunteers who have helped Ishan this past year, Thank you so much for making therapy fun and entertaining for Ishan. Your compassion, true love for both children and horses comes through. This note doesn't’t do justice to let you know how much the past therapy sessions has meant to our family. While Ishan may not get up and walk anytime soon, your attitude, belief, and gentle pushing has definitely lifted our spirits and given us hope. Ishan loves to come, not just because of the horses but because all of you make him feel very special. This Thanks Giving while many of us sit around the table giving thanks, our family will be giving thanks for knowing all of you. I once shared with some of my girlfriends that one of the perks of having a special needs child is that we have the opportunity (and luxury) of meeting and knowing people like you. I admire your positive attitude and we as a family are richer because all of you have been a part of our lives. Thank you so much!! |
